Serving God with Open Hands and Open Hearts
“For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.” – Philippians 1:21

Ballard Sunday Service
Join us every Sunday at 1515 Fourth Ave, Asbury Park, 07712 starting 11am for worship service.
At Ballard United Methodist Church, our worship is rooted in tradition with a fresh spirit. Each service blends the familiar comfort of classic liturgy with a mix of old and new hymns, as well as occasional contemporary praise music—all beautifully supported by live piano accompaniment that uplifts and strengthens our singing.
Services typically last about one hour, and you can expect to leave just after noon. There’s no dress code here—just come as you are!

Ballard Free Breakfast
The Ballard Community Breakfast has been serving free breakfast to our community neighbors for over two decades! Saturdays from 8:30 am – 9:30 am.
Anyone who walks through our doors during breakfast time is welcome to come in, relax, and enjoy a hot breakfast. There are a variety of choices, and eggs are cooked to order.
This is an opportunity for anyone who needs or wants a meal to receive it, to build relationships with others in the community, and to experience loving and gracious hospitality.
We serve breakfast all year round, except for the weekend of our Fall Bazaar.

Ballard Thrift Store
The Ballard Thrift Shop is a long-standing outreach ministry of Ballard United Methodist Church, dedicated to serving the Asbury Park community and surrounding areas.
Since 1985, our mission has been to provide clean, quality clothing, accessories, and household goods at minimal cost—or at no cost to those referred by a partnering social service agency. Come discover hidden treasures and everyday essentials at bargain prices!

Our chapter of United Women in Faith meet at noon the second Tuesday of every month at Ballard UMC for lunch, community, conversations on faith, and planning for mission work.
All are invited to join this great group of women!

Reconciling Ministries
Ballard United Methodist Church is a member of the Reconciling Ministry Network of the United Methodist Church. As such, we are in agreement with the RMN foundational statement:
“We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more. We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.”
The people of Ballard United Methodist Church strive to live and love as Jesus did. Whoever you are, you are welcomed here.

What do we have to offer? To love God and love one another. To also have faith and hope to offer love and compassion. We must learn to share hope in a hopeless time.
